Australian Agility Dog of 2010 and Agility Dog
of the Month- (Annual & Monthly competitions running concurrently).
Australian
Agility Dog of the Month and Australian Agility Dog of 2010 shall include separate annual competitions
for the following height categories-
a) Toy
Agility Dog - up to 270mm at the withers
b) Miniature
Agility Dog - from 271mm to 365mm at the withers
c) Standard
Agility Dog - from 366mm to 455mm at the withers
d) Medium
Agility Dog - 456mm to 545mm at the withers
e) Large
Agility Dog - 546mm and over at the withers
These will now be referred to as the “Australian Agility Dog
Competitions”. They are all Annual & Monthly competitions running
concurrently.
ALL DOGS MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE ANNUAL COMPETITION BEFORE
1 NOVEMBER 2010. The Competition closes on 5 January the
following year. Wins from any month will be accepted before closing date of the
competition.
ENTRY FEES
The
Annual Entry Fee- FREE. Entrants must
agree to the Terms and Conditions of entry before being accepted into the
competition.
REGISTRATION
Each entrant must register online providing a photo of
the dog (must be jpg less than 800k) to be included in the competition, and
provide the following details-
• Breed (if applicable)
• Sex
• Dogs name and title
• Dog ANKC
Registration Number (or equivalent)
• Dogs date of birth
• Owners Name
• Owners address (must include
country and state)
• Owners Phone Number
• Owners Email address
• State where dog is
trialled and resides
• Sire and Dam of the Dog
• Height Class (If the
height class changes during the year, dogs must be re-registered with the new
height) Points earned while in the previous height class remain in that
competition, but also count towards the dog’s total annual points score.
In the Dogtrials Agility Comps, you can only be in
the Height Class which equals the official (real) height of your dog, not which
height class you enter at an Agility Trial. If your dog has to remeasured during the year, we will then add the dog to the
new Height Class in the Dogtrial's Competition,
manually.
a)
The entrant provides surety to Showdogs (our Business), that they own the entrant. If the
entrant is jointly owned, the entrant provides surety to Showdogs
that they have the authority/agreement with the co-owner/s to enter the dog in
this competition.
ELIGIBILITY
1.
To be eligible for the Australian
Competition, all dogs must be registered with an Australian State Canine
Controlling Body and reside in and be trialed in Australia during the time period. Only dogs as per ANKC rules
are eligible to compete for Australian Agility dog of the year, as per ANKC
Agility rules. All eligible Agility competitions must be ANKC events only.
2.
The
time period for the Australian Agility Dog Competitions of 2010 means between 1/1/2010 and 31/12/2010.
Final submissions for the Australian Agility Dog Competitions of 2010 close on 5
January the following year.
3. You only need
to register your dog once during the
year to be eligible for the Monthly and Annual separate
competitions of Toy Agility
Dog, Miniature Agility Dog, Standard Agility Dog, Medium Agility Dog and Large
Agility Dog.
4. The time period for Agility Dog of the Month means one
entire calendar month, i.e. one competition for each of the 12 months for 2010. You are only eligible for the Australian
Agility Competitions of the Month if your dog is registered and you have
submitted all your wins for that month by the 2nd of the following
month.
5. The Australian Agility Dog of 2010 competition is divided into 8 State/Territories- Vic, NSW, ACT, Qld, SA, WA, NT and TAS. A dog shall be deemed to be entered under the
State/Territory for which they have submitted the most awards (not the most points).
6. All Competitors compete for The Agility Dog of 2010. The dog with the
highest overall points wins the Agility Dog of 2010 award and prize.
7. In the case of a draw, the highest number of 1st Place awards will win. If outright winners are still not
achieved, the most 1st and 2nd Place awards, then most 1st, 2nd
& 3rd Place awards, and down the table until a winner can be
declared.
POINTS
1. For the Australian Agility Dog of 2010, points will
apply only for Australian Agility Trials held between 1/1/2010 and 31/12/2010.
2. Entrants can
submit awards gained at each level of competition e.g. 1 x Place & Qualifying, 1 x Place (not
qualified) or Qualifying only.
3. You must only submit your wins ONCE. Points for
Agility Dog of the Month are automatically added to your tally for Agility Dog
of 2010.
4. If you missed entering Agility Dog of the Month and
have registered for Agility Dog of the Year, you can still submit your wins for
any month at anytime.
5. Winners of Agility Dog of the Month will earn
additional points towards Agility Dog of 2010
as follows: 1st Place- 20 points, 2nd Place- 19 points, 3rd Place- 18 points. Monthly bonus points will begin from
January winners.
Changes to 2010
Competition- Please Note:
- Strategic Pairs is
not counted because some dogs can be disadvantaged when finding a
partner.
- Dogs can now submit a placing without qualifying.
- There are now higher points for dogs who qualify.

Australian Agility Dog of 2010 entrants can claim additional points when
their dog gains a title during the time period. Proof via a copy of the
certificate (including date) must be received by closing date to be included in
the 2010
Competition.

LEADERBOARDS
1. The leaderboards
for Agility Dog of the Month will be published after 10th of each month, and
the monthly winner will be announced no later than 4th of the next month.
2. The leaderboards for
Agility Dog of 2010
will be published after 1 January 2010.
Any discrepancies/disputed wins will be checked with the entrant, and
entrants may be required to provide proof of their win via notification from
the Secretary of the Show. If proof is not provided and/or the dispute resolved
by the close of the month, the win shall not be counted. No correspondence
shall be entered into.
